PLANT REGISTRATION
Anyone, member of an orchid society or dealer, wishing to exhibit plants for Orchidexpo 2023, must register their plants for the house judgment on Saturday morning. It is strongly recommended to do it in advance without waiting until Friday 24th, the day before the exhibition.

Registration can be done via the attached file (preferred method), or manually via a paper form which will be available on site. All plants must be registered before Friday, March 24th at 8:30 p.m..

It is possible to register your plants manually by completing this paper form (PDF) and dropping it off at the registration desk on Friday March 24, 2023 between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
However, we invite you to use the Excel registration form above as much as possible, and to send it to us early.

General
The following legend (color codes) applies to the registration workseet of this file:
Data entry is permitted.
Can make a selection 🔽 from the dropdown list after clicking on a yellow cell.
No data entry possible (formulas).
Preparation: It is highly recommended that you refer to the tools made available to you in preparation for the identification of the class number of your plants. These can be found on the Orchidophiles de Montréal website (en.orchidophilesmontreal.com) under the "OrchidExpo / Exhibitors" sub-section.
Exhibitor Coordinates
(1) Exhibitor Name and Email:
You must enter both your name and email address to be able to complete this registration. In the event that you may have more than 90 plants to register and need to submit additional registration files, ensure that your name is written in the exact same manner (spaces included) in each registration file.
Member No. (OdM):
If you are a member of the Orchidophiles de Montréal (OdM) society, enter your membership number.
ExhibitSelection or Addition
(2) Exhibit Selection or Addition:
You must assign your registration to an Exhibit. When you click on the yellow cell to the right the title "Exhibit Selection/Addition" in the Registration worksheet, a gray triangle will appear on the right edge of the cell. When you click on this triangle a dropdown list will appear, allowing you to make your selection. If your are assigning your registration to an existing Exhibit, just select it from the dropdown menu. But, if your wish to add a new Exhibit, select item "999-***ADD A NEW EXHIBIT***" from the dropdown menu.
New Exhibit name:
If you selected "999-***ADD A NEW EXHIBIT***", insert the name of the exhibit you wish to add in cell D7.
Exhibit Class:
If you selected "999-***ADD A NEW EXHIBIT***" to add an exhibit, select it's Class by clicking on cell D8. Then click on the gray triangle that will appear to it's right. Finally, select the Class from the drpodown menu that will appear.
Plant Registration Information
(3) Plant name
You must register the name of each plant. Enter the precise name of the plant while, as much as possible, adhering to the genus species or genus grex 'cultivar name' nomenclature (the latter being optional).
(4) Class Selection
You must select the class to which your plant belongs. A tool for the search of classes by Genus or Abbreviation is in the "Search" worksheet of this file (Excel version only). When you click on one of the yellow cells under the title "Class Selection" in the Registration worksheet, a gray triangle will appear on the right edge of the cell. When you click on this triangle a dropdown list will appear, allowing you to make your class selection. Upon selecting the class to which your plant belongs, the class number will automatically appear in the cell to the right, under the title "Class No."
Exhibit Number
The Exhibit number that you selected above will appear in the gray column with title "Exhibit No." of each row that contains a plant name. If you wish to assign one or several of your plants to a different Exhibit, just select the number of this Exhibit from the dropdown menu of the next cell to the right under the title "Modify Exhibit #".
Judged by AOS?
The cells in the yellow column titled "Judged by AOS?" are check for "Yes" by default. To modify any of these for a "No", click on the cell, and a gray triangle will appear on its right edge. Upon clicking on this trangle, a dropdown list will appear, allowing you to modify this selection.
Fragrant Stand?
The cells in the yellow column titled "Fragrant Stand?" are check for "No" by default. To modify any of these for a "Yes", click on the cell, and a gray triangle will appear on its right edge. Upon clicking on this triangle, a dropdown list will appear, allowing you to modify this selection.
(5) Registration Submission
Upon completion of your registration, save the file while adding your name to the file name (ie. Inscription_Jane_Smith) and send it by email to the following address: enregistrement.odm@gmail.com.
In the event that you have more than 90 plantes to register, complete multiple files and append a sequential number at the end of each file name (ie. Inscription_Jane_Smith_2).
Upon receipt of your registration, a confirmation file (Confirmation Inscription) will be sent to the email address appearing in your registration file. You must use this file if you wish to make any modifications to your plant registration.
